Terms and conditions of sale
24 October 2026
These terms govern sales made on the My Custom Star Map website (mycustomstarmap.com), operated by Compagnie des Blasons (SIREN 944 919 968, 6 rue du Château, 12190 Estaing, France, contact@mycustomstarmap.com). Placing an order implies their unreserved acceptance.
1. Purpose
They set out the rights and obligations of seller and buyer in the online sale of personalised star map digital files. They apply to every product offered on the site.
2. Product
The product is a digital file to print: the map of the sky above the place, on the date and at the time chosen by the customer, with the texts they have written. It is delivered in five sizes (A4, 30 × 40, 40 × 60, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm), each as a PDF and a PNG at 300 dots per inch, making ten files.
The map is calculated for the composition chosen by the customer and is not held in stock. Printing on paper is not included: the customer has the files printed wherever they wish. The preview shown before purchase is that of the delivered file; the colour of a print depends on the printer and paper chosen.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. There are no delivery costs: the product is digital.
Compagnie des Blasons may change its prices at any time; a product is invoiced at the price in force when the order is confirmed.
4. Orders
Orders are placed online on the site. Before paying, the customer ticks two boxes: acceptance of these terms, and the request for immediate supply of the digital content with acknowledgement of the loss of the right of withdrawal (Article 8). The customer must provide their name and a valid e-mail address: the confirmation and the download link are sent to that address.
An order is firm once payment is accepted. A confirmation e-mail, which repeats these points, is then sent. The seller may cancel an order in the event of a payment problem or a clearly fraudulent order.
5. Payment
Payment is made when the order is placed, by card or by one of the means offered on the payment page. Payment is handled by our provider Mollie B.V. on its own servers: no card number passes through or is kept by us.
6. Composition and checking
The files are made from the information given by the customer: place, date, time, title, subtitle and dedication. That information is treated as final. The preview shown before purchase repeats those entries; it is for the customer to check them, spelling included.
The time entered is the local time of the chosen place: the time zone and daylight saving time are applied automatically. A composition that matches the customer’s entry cannot be redone free of charge.
7. Delivery
Delivery is immediate and digital. As soon as payment is confirmed, the files are produced — this takes about a minute — and then made available on the private order page, the link to which is sent by e-mail. This link is personal: keeping it lets you download the files again at any time during the retention period set out in the privacy policy.
8. Right of withdrawal
A customer who has requested immediate supply of the digital content, and acknowledged that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal, can no longer exercise it once the files have been made available to them (Article L.221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code). The product is also made to the customer’s specifications and clearly personalised (Article L.221-28 3°).
These boxes are ticked by the customer before payment; without them, the order cannot be placed. Full details are in our refund policy.
9. Guarantees
The product carries the legal guarantee of conformity applicable to digital content under the French Consumer Code. If a file is unreadable, incomplete or does not match the composition validated by the customer, the seller remakes it free of charge or, failing that, refunds the order.
10. Claims
Any claim should be sent to contact@mycustomstarmap.com, quoting the order reference. We reply within forty-eight working hours.
11. Refunds
Where a refund is due, it is issued within ten days to the original means of payment, and a credit note is issued.
12. Personal data
Data collected is used to handle the order and customer service. See the privacy policy.
13. Intellectual property and use of the files
The contents of the site remain the exclusive property of Compagnie des Blasons. With payment, the customer receives the right to use the files of their order for personal use and to have them printed or framed for themselves or as a gift. Reselling them, reproducing them for commercial purposes and distributing them are prohibited without authorisation.
14. Consumer mediation
Under Articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, any dispute not settled by our customer service may be submitted free of charge to the mediator CM2C: www.cm2c.net, cm2c@cm2c.net, CM2C, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France.
The customer may also use the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. A consumer resident in another European Union country keeps the benefit of the mandatory provisions of their country of residence. Failing an amicable settlement, the French courts have jurisdiction.
